Position Summary:

This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering techniques and PLC programs with proven abilities to plan, organize, implement, troubleshoot and manage engineering projects ensuring safe, economical, and cost-effective implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, control and implement electrical systems, equipment and products.
  • Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance and other groups to design new applications and troubleshoot existing processes, including the corporate electrical grid.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment including troubleshooting electrical devices, electronic software and PLC’s
  • Participate in kaizen related projects to improve production equipment and processes.
  • Support production and operations when needed.
  • Electrical skills, including troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical components and high frequency drives, solid state electronic circuitry.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical code requirements, knowledge / experience with electrical safety, ability to read schematics etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective and the position and the company.

Education / Qualifications / Background Requirements:

  • 5 years electrical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • A degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of PLCs, programming etc.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics
  • Demonstrated ability to design, improve, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds unassisted
  • Able to work / stand for extended periods of time
  • Climb stairs, crouch, kneel, bend
  • Ability to work on mezzanine at elevated heights
  • Rotate on-call schedule with maintenance staff.
