Summary:

Amcor, Inc. with headquarters in Thomson, GA is a privately held manufacturer and supplier to the global plastics industry. This role is within the Custom Additives & Chemicals Division, which provides specialty products to plastic manufacturers to improve functional product properties and optimize production costs.

· Reports directly to Vice President, Additives & Polymers

· Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

· Bonus compensation for sales and prospecting

· Location: P7 Additives and Polymers Sales Office

The Preferred Candidate:

To include but not limited to:

  • Is an effective communicator with the ability to de-escalate problem situations, relay customer needs to the sales/production team, and independently execute order fulfillment.
  • Is well organized and motivated to properly plan ahead for customer orders using forecasting through regular contact with current customer and the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Prioritizes maintaining customer relationships and coordinating their various needs and activities including quoting, sampling, order entry, expediting/ order fulfillment/ logistics, problem resolution, etc. for highest customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently prospects for and develops new accounts through research, cold calling, lead management, appointment setting, information sharing, quoting and generating new business.
  • Develops and maintains a relationship with outside Regional Sales Managers to drive increased account sales and profitability.
  • Works cooperatively within a team structure and willing to contribute to the overall development of the additives and chemicals division.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of applicable customer service with demonstrated understanding of the order to cash process including logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong administrative abilities with attention to detail and excellent organizational, time management, and follow up skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.

Job Functions:

  • 50% Clerical-data entry & maintenance
  • 20% Personal contact with current customers ie: phone/conference calls, email, in-person meetings
  • 20% Personal contact with prospects & leads with priority given to phone/conference calls
  • 10% Interdepartmental contact.
