Salary:            Starting at $55,000

Schedule:        12 Hour Shifts  Monday-Friday with a possibility of Weekends  if needed

Description:

The PSS will proactively supervise the safe and productive film manufacturing operation by being a hands-on team leader and properly supporting the administrative activities of the role. He/she directly supervises a staff of employees and has responsibility for: adhering to safety policies and procedures; ensuring work is completed efficiently and in accordance with production schedules; communicating expectations to the team ensuring operational accountability; maintaining standards in the areas of housekeeping, SOPs, attendance, and maintenance; responding to personnel, operational, and safety incidents; continuing to up-skill the team (e.g. training, hiring).

He/she is a hands-on, high energy individual with strong shop-floor presence who must be a self-starter with a desire to deliver results with accountability in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

To include but not limited to

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assume responsibility for productivity goals (output, speed, scrap), product quality and planning/scheduling by making sound trade-off decisions to effectively run the shift.
  • Assist with start up, shut down and trouble shooting quality and processing issues of film lines while ensure staff is properly trained to prevent manufacturing errors.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and display good work ethic by modeling appropriate
  • Follow all documented work instructions and coordinate daily work schedules, planning
  • Facilitate robust communications within and across shifts and with other departmental
  • Build and strengthen work team capabilities through training (done personally either
  • Recommend, facilitate and/or drive continuous improvement initiatives with team
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position

Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED). College education a plus.
  • Minimum of three years of production experience in the blown or cast film
  • industry with ability to troubleshoot film production lines AND a minimum of 1 year in a shift supervisory or team lead capacity. A plus
  • Basic math skills and facility with numbers to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals exhibiting
  • Have a “can do” / “lead by example” attitude and an ability to work both within a team as well as independently interact with and provide guidance to colleagues at all levels.
