SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a highly-analytical individual who will be intricately involved in the production process to guarantee that outgoing products meet all quality expectations. The Quality Assurance Specialist will also maintain open communication with superiors regarding conflicts and proposed solutions to production issues that involve product quality.

DESCRIPTION

The Quality Assurance Specialist will perform regular product evaluations, including but not limited to generating pre-production paperwork including instructions, performing real-time tests during production, or analyzing post-production paperwork as it is being transferred to the company database. The Quality Assurance Specialist’s role assists in identifying areas of improvement to increase production efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

But not limited to:

Generate production folders as needed by manufacturing requirements

Analyze completed production folders to ensure documentation accuracy

Create internal Certificate of Analysis based on customer supplied Certificate of Conformance for additives and polymers

Perform inspections on incoming material to assure customer adherence to quality standards

Perform lab analysis testing (ex. – Melt Index. FTIR, DSC, Density, Ash Content, etc.) as required to meet production demands.

Generate and/or update internal procedures as necessary, including creation and maintenance of product specifications and product data sheets.

Participate in monthly close-out procedures

Coordinate R&D projects, including sourcing of products and follow up with production’s progress

Report to superiors updating production progress

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Previous experience in quality assurance or similar field preferred

Microsoft Office

Strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION

High school diploma/GED required. 4-year degree preferred.

Temp to Perm position. Benefits available after 30 days of permanent full-time employment.
