Administrative Assistant /HR Clerk/Receptionist


Amcor, Inc. with headquarters in Thomson, GA is a privately held manufacturer and supplier to the global plastics industry.  The company was founded 25+ years ago and operates multiple divisions, all of which are poised for a period of rapid growth.  The right individual must be a self-starter with a sunny disposition. This is a development role ideal for candidates with a desire to grow professionally and assume increasing responsibilities over time with an expanding company.

  • Hours are Monday – Friday
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations/HR


 Greet all visitors including customers, vendors and company associates with a pleasant welcoming manner.

Professionally answer a multi-line telephone, transferring calls to appropriate associate and /or taking detailed messages.


To include but not limited to:

  •  Maintaining and reconciling petty cash.
  • Responsible for collecting incoming mail and disbursing to appropriate individual daily.
  • Ensure that all outgoing mail is processed and delivered to Post Office daily
  • Maintain postage stamp supply via petty cash.
  • Manage conference room scheduling
  • Make hotel reservations as requested
  • Coordinate catering meals for meetings, etc as requested
  • Order business cards as requested for new hires
  • Maintain Verizon Cell Service for Mobile phones
  • Manage company fuel cards for Amcor owned trucks.
  • Maintain Vendor certificate of insurance file
  • Track and maintain record of associate PPE Reimbursement (Boots, eye glasses, etc).
  • Assisting all departments with filing and shredding, if needed.
  • Maintain, issue purchase orders for office supplies.
  • Maintain kitchen supplies for coffee, etc. in all facilities
  • Order Housekeeping supplies as instructed by Janitorial Staff
  • Maintain Vacation calendar
  • Update Company phone list, birthday and Anniversary List
  • Maintain, source and order T-shirts, PPE, Safety Incentives and HR Swag
  • Updating staff phone list and distributing by email then posting on HR board in each plant.
  • Ensure applicants fill out applications and complete required math test
  • Assist HR with Orientation/Benefit paperwork
  • Conduct Exit Interviews
  • Schedule interviews and create calendar invite for interview panel
  • Participate in monthly Plant Safety Audits
  • Update/Schedule training for LOTO, Forklift, Safety, etc.
  • Record Temperatures/remind EE fill out questionnaire during Covid Pandemic

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years administrative experience
  • 1-2 years Human Resources experience
  • Ability to work multi line phone systems with professional attitude
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
  • Warm, Friendly personality
  • Able to maintain level of professionalism at all times
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
