 Amcor, Inc. is a diversified, internationally active, privately held, manufacturer and supplier to the global plastics industry. The company was founded 27 years ago and has several divisions.  The company is experiencing a high level of growth both domestically and in international markets.


The ideal candidate has experience in plastics, chemicals, or materials manufacturing and is looking for a career in a rapidly growing company (e.g. looking to grow personally as the company grows). Operators are responsible for all setup, operations, and quality of product being produced. Operators must be attentive and self-motivated. He/she must also be able to work as a team.  All of Amcor’s plants contain a wide variety of equipment, requiring operators to learn a variety of skills and processes.  Good operators have attention to detail, an ability to troubleshoot, and keep pace with the process to minimize setup time and scrap.

  • Reports directly to the Shift Supervisor
  • Will work 12hour shift, Monday – Thursday
  • Weekends if production deems necessary


                To include but not limited to:


  • Setup and operate lines, maintaining proper speeds and adjustments (per the specification sheets) to ensure a quality product and production rates.
    • Operation of blenders
    • Operation of compound lines
    • Operation of resin moving systems (silo, railcar, bulk trailer, etc.)
  • Perform continuous inspections of product.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as required, giving particular attention to product weights and scrap.
  • Package product according to instructions to include the making of boxes as required by Job Sheet.
  • Keep the plant clean and orderly at all times
  • Help supervisor with other daily operations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Use lifting equipment and fork trucks on a regular basis

Education and Experience:

  • MUST HAVE a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical school courses preferred.
  • Exhibits a “can do” attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities/challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Enjoys personal/profession improvement, with a desire to progress “move up” in the company over time.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Other key skills: attention to detail, thorough in completing work tasks, results-oriented, good at prioritization, good time management skills, great attendance record, enjoys learning new skills and processes.
