Pulverizer Operator-Plant 7

Amcor, Inc. with headquarters in Thomson, GA is a privately held manufacturer and supplier to the global plastics industry. The company was founded 25+ years ago and operates four divisions, all of which are poised for a period of rapid growth. Expansion to our new Plant 7 has current need for Pulverizer Operators.


The Pulverizer Operator is responsible for working safe and for producing quality product.  They must be attentive and self-motivated. He/she must also be able to work as a team. He/she must be good at communicating with others. The amount of equipment and processes used requires attention to detail and ability to keep pace with the process in order to minimize setup time and scrap.

  • Reports directly to Shift Supervisor


            To include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for running two Pulverizer lines producing Rotational Molding raw material.
  • Set-up and operate Color mixer for different powder pigmentations.
  • Responsible for quality checks (Dry Flow Rate, Bulk Density, and Particle Distribution).
  • Operating unloading station and all downstream equipment.
  • Responsible for setting the correct blend.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, handle supersacks finished goods, proper labelling and storage of both, incoming and finished goods raw material.
  • Must poses basic math skills, using micrometers, tape measure, calipers and other tools in order to produce good quality product.
  • Must ensure that all safety features that are installed on machines are in good working order.
  • Follow ALL Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Recommend any process improvements regarding OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
  • Responsible for filling out work orders/job folders.
  • Assist Engineering with resin trials and new business development projects.
  • Willing to Cross-Train operating other stand-alone equipment.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Working closely with Engineering and Supervisors to help optimize output quality and efficiency for ALL grades of pulverized material.
  • Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by shift supervisor or facility management.




Experience and Education:


  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment (preferably thermoplastics industry)
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds unassisted
  • Able to work on foot for long periods of time
  • Climb stairs, crouch, kneel, bend
  • Reliable mode of transportation
  • Good communicator
