The company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager within its Polymer & Additive Division to first and foremost generate new business and customer relationships in Mexico working in a fast-paced, high-energy, customer-focused environment. The right candidate must have a successful track record of closing new customers and thrives in ‘the hunt’ for new business from manufacturers. The role is based in Mexico (Northern Mexico or greater Mexico City) and involves significant travel to meet prospects and customers. This role reports to the division’s Sales Director based in the US and is best suited for a hands-on self-starter who wants to have an impact by delivering results in an entrepreneurial environment. This is a career development position with high earnings potential.



* A professional with up to 10 years of progressive career experience and a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated B2B new customer and new business sales track record – commercially savvy with sales hunter DNA and proven experience in identifying, developing, closing and growing new customer accounts.

* MUST HAVE experience with resin, polymers, additives or chemicals sold to Mexican manufacturing plants.

* An ability to build relationships at all levels of an account, combined with a customer service mentality.

* Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, and able to work independently as well as a in a team environment.

* Good with math / data analysis in order to determine trends regarding historical sales/buying patterns; strong orientation for sales/profit results.

* Strong communication and organizations skills.

* A desire to achieve results and naturally overcome obstacles! 

* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.

* Fully English-Spanish bilingual.

* BS/BA from a 4-year college/university.



* Meet or exceed sales targets and other performance objectives including prospecting, customer visits, sales pipeline management.

* The primary mission is to develop new customer accounts in geographic (e.g. Northern Mexico) and application (extrusion, molding, etc.) target markets through proactive networking, referrals, prospecting, and cold calling. The Regional Sales Manager will focus on acquiring new customers for resin polymers such as PE, PP, PS and for Amcor’s additives and blowing agents by evaluating customers’ needs, sharing of Amcor’s offering, and working with customers’ decision making unit through the sales process to close new business.

* Potentially grow existing customer accounts by developing positive strong ongoing relationships, understanding customers’ business and purchasing needs, developing sales strategies to upsell and gain customer’s understanding of company’s products/services/capabilities towards closing additional business.

* Minimum 70% travel with daily in-field prospecting, customer calls, including overnight stays, to meet customers and prospects.

* Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of sales opportunities (funnel), orders, product delivery, call/activity reporting and customer concerns.

* Maintain and develop product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.

* Contribute to the overall team effort and other sales related duties may be assigned.
